Adult Jiu-Jitsu training at Ares East Mesa

01. Adults

Adult Gi & No-Gi Program

Most adults who start here aren't former athletes or competitors — they're people who decided to try something new. The class structure is built around that reality. You'll learn fundamentals before anything else, train against resistance from day one, and improve your fitness as a byproduct of showing up, not as a prerequisite for it.

  • • Fundamentals: Built for beginners — no experience or fitness level required before you start.
  • • Mixed Levels: Gi and No-Gi classes running morning, afternoon, and evening throughout the week.
  • • Open Mat: Unstructured training time on Saturdays to roll at your own pace.

02. Kids

Kids & Little Warriors Program

Kids classes aren't a scaled-down version of the adult program. They're built from the ground up around how kids actually learn — short attention spans, high energy, and a need to see progress quickly. Coaches break technique into pieces a 5-year-old and a 12-year-old can both work with, while still taking the material seriously enough that older kids keep getting better.

  • • Little Warriors: Age-appropriate classes starting at 4 years old, built around movement and fun.
  • • Kids Mixed Levels: For older kids, with classes running multiple days a week.
  • • Built for confidence: Discipline and focus taught alongside real technique, not just drills.

03. Women

Women's BJJ Program

The women's class exists because training alongside people who are working through the exact same learning curve, in the exact same room, tends to change how fast that curve feels. It's not a separate curriculum or a watered-down version of the regular classes — it's real instruction, in a space built specifically for the women training here.

  • • Twice a week: A dedicated women's-only Gi class, part of the regular schedule.
  • • No experience necessary: Every woman on the mat started exactly where you are now.
  • • A real community: Beyond class time, with events throughout the year open to all women.
