01. Why This Program

A Space to Learn at Your Own Pace

Most women who walk in haven't done anything like this before, and the class is built around that reality rather than around making exceptions for it. It isn't a simplified version of what happens in the main room — same techniques, same live resistance — just with a group of women working through the exact same learning curve at the exact same time.

  • • Inclusive: No experience necessary. Every woman on the mat started exactly where you are now.
  • • Technical: Real instruction, not a watered-down version of the class down the hall.
  • • Confidence-building: Training in a room full of women working toward the same thing tends to do that on its own.

02. Beyond the Mats

A Community, Not Just a Class

The women's program isn't limited to class time. Past events like our Women's Flex & Feast — a bodyweight workout followed by a potluck brunch — have brought women together whether they train BJJ or not. It's one part of what makes this more than just a training slot on the calendar.

Most of what makes it a community, though, doesn't happen at a scheduled event. It's the training partner who checks in when you miss a week, the people cheering from the sideline at your first competition, and the fact that after a few months, "my class" starts to mean something closer to "my people."

03. Meet Your Coach

Tiffany Gaughan, Women's BJJ Instructor

Before Jiu-Jitsu, Tiffany spent years competing nationally in bodybuilding and training under some of the sport's top names — experience that eventually led her to open her own studio, Wanderlust Studio AZ, built around the same idea: it doesn't matter where you start, only that you do.

That approach carries straight into the women's class. Less talking you through theory, more reps, corrections, and building real strength under pressure — the same way she's coached for over a decade.

04. Questions

Women's Program FAQ

No. It's built for beginners just as much as anyone else — every woman training in it started exactly where you are now.
